Obituary

In Loving Memory of Ariyah Nycole Oshai Turner It is with a twinkle in our hearts and a touch of gentle mirth that we celebrate the brief yet beautifully spirited life of Ariyah Nycole Oshai Turner. Ariyah was welcomed into the world by her parents, Brenaye Moore and Christian Turner, on a sunny day on September 7, 2025 in Dallas, Texas. Born a precious, chubby bundle of joy weighing 9 pounds, 1 ounce, she shared her birthday with her beloved cousin, Gwendolyn Jones. From her very first moments, her sparkling eyes and charismatic gurgles revealed a soul overflowing with sweetness, warmth, and light. Ariyah was a jolly spirit who quickly became the sunshine of our home in Arlington, Texas. Her adorable baby conversations with her father, Christian Turner, were the highlight of our days—stories spoken in her own magical language that needed no translation to fill our hearts. As her mother, Brenaye, I can say without question that Ariyah had a natural gift for brightening any room with her infectious laugh and lively presence. She came into our lives with joy in her heart and left us with love that will last forever. Ariyah is deeply loved and remembered by her parents, Brenaye Moore and Christian Turner; her siblings Aria Moore, Austen Hagans, and Se'Kane; her grandparents Timika Hughes, Demerick Hughes, and Pauletta Turner; and her aunts Kam, Bria J., A.J. T., Jaleha T., Giavanna, Enchantress, Great Auntie LaSandra W., and Great Sammy T.(Rona T.) She is also cherished by her uncles Raje'e J.(Christian J.), and Tylan T. Ariyah's cousins—Roman, Naomi, Cameron, Khaleel, and Khylan— Ariyah was also loved by Aliyah, L.B.J., Kameron and Kristian, along with her Godmother, Cindy Almanzea, will forever hold her memory close. She was preceded in death by her great grandmother Belinda and great grandfather Wardell and uncle Blake. As it is written in Matthew 19:14: "Jesus said, 'Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.'" Ariyah's spirit was pure and radiant—filled with love, laughter, and a special brightness that touched all who met her. Though her time here was painfully short, the joy she brought into our lives will remain immeasurable. We take comfort in knowing she is now wrapped in eternal peace, carried gently into God's open arms. Her life, though brief, was a blessing. Her memory will be our forever light.
