Obituary

Maria Anna Luna Barrientos was born October 18, 1972 in Phoenix, Arizona to Mary Sandra Ryan and Larry Allen Ryan. Anna was known as a free spirit. She did not care who was watching, she loved without fear and forgave like there was no tomorrow. She was known as Mama, Anna, Flaca, Piejo and Luna. Anna married Armando Barrientos on February 18, 1995, and raised 5 children together; Fernando Villicana, Sandi Kristine Andriena Villicana, Cecilya Sophie Marese Luna, Lillyanna Ime Barrientos and Bionka Emily Madalyne Barrientos. They eventually separated but remained lifelong friends. Later on, she met Francisco Mayo in Arlington, Texas who also helped raise all 5 children. She was deeply loved by Armando and Francisco. Mama loved dancing, singing, and acting a fool wherever she went, whether it be at Traders Village, concerts, clubs or in a parking lot. She was the missing sunshine we lacked. Her favorite food was Captain D's and a nice cold Pepsi. She also liked to write down her name or her children's names over and over on the most random things you could think of. Along with poems and daily notes. Her writing was sometimes illegible, but that's because it was the best handwriting you ever saw. :) Mama loved the Cowboys, she still rooted for them when they lost and even said " Woo Woo, that's my team ehhhhh" and would stick her tongue out. Or when she got her make-up done and all dolled up by Sandy Samaniego, a family friend, or Bionka, Mama would do that little weird pose with her hand on her hip, stick her hip out and say, " Ehhh :P " along with her tongue sticking out all crazy. She had these red boots that she praised and would wear them as much as possible and wear them with ANYTHING, even if it didn't match. Anna was beautiful in whatever she wore. She deeply loved all her grand babies; Rubi, Amberlynn, Adrianna, Evangelina, Sophia, PJ, Romeo, Lillian, Rafa, Piano, Bella, Alex and Bethany. She had most of their names tattooed on her like a role call. We could go on and on about all the crazy things she used to do and say, Anna was definitely not your average person. She was special to everyone and made impacts on everyone. I encourage you all to remember her on her best days in her little red boots, hoop earrings, QT cup and big ol' purse she took with her everywhere. Love without fear and enjoy happy moments as if it was your last day. Mama would have said that. Anna is survived by Husband; Armando Tovar Barrientos (Mando) Life Partner; Francisco Mayo (Pancho). Children; Fernando Villicana, Sandi Kristine Andriena Villicana, Cecilya Sophie Marese Luna, Lillyanna Ime Barrientos and Bionka Emily Madalyn Barrientos Grand babies; Rubi, Amberlynn, Adrianna, Evangelina, Sophia, PJ, Romeo, Lillian, Rafa, Bella, Alex, and Bethany Luna. Brothers; Daniel Ryan(Joanna), Larry Ryan, and Julian Ryan(Lisa) Sister; Nemoria Jimenez and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Maria Anna Luna Barrientos will be laid to rest with her mom and grandma, Mary Sandra Ryan and Marianna Gallant in Parkdale Cemetery, Arlington, Texas, February 18, 2023 at 12 PM. We ask that you wear your brightest pink and white clothes on Friday and Pink Cowboy Jerseys on Saturday. Mama says, " I love you infinity " So with that, I say, " I love you infinity mama"
