With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Othel Don Dill, affectionately known as Mouse, a loving father, a generous friend, and a humble soul, on February 14, 2026. Born on April 29, 1951, in Ardmore, OK, Othel was a beacon of dedication and selflessness, lighting up the lives of those around him.
Othel had a way of making hard work seem effortless, which was evident in his long and successful career as a plumber. He was a valued employee at G & L Mechanical until his retirement in 2017. His dedication to his work was only surpassed by his love for his family, especially his daughters, Wrendy and Chastity, and his grandsons, Ethan and Eli. His passion for life didn't stop at his family and work; he was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, a skilled fisherman, and a talented woodworker. Othel was a man of simple pleasures who found joy in a cold beer after a hard day's work and the laughter of his loved ones. As his daughter, I can attest to the truth in the saying, "A father's love is eternal."
Othel was the kind of man who embodied the sentiment, "The value of a man should be seen in what he gives and not in what he is able to receive." Albert Einstein's words are a fitting tribute to a man who was known for his generosity and loving spirit. Othel was a devoted husband to his late wife, Nancy, and a proud father. He was a steady presence in our lives, a source of comfort and strength, and his loss has left an irreplaceable void.
Othel was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Dill and Doris Brown, his wife Nancy, son Keith, grandson Cameron, and brother Daryl. He leaves behind his daughters Chastity and Wrendy, grandsons Ethan and Eli, brother's Eddie and Frank and sister Jewldean plus a legacy of love and hard work. A visitation/ Celebration of life will take place at Luna Family Funeral Home, 1635 New York Avenue, Arlington, Texas, on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 1:00 Pm CST.
In the spirit of celebrating Othel's impactful life, we invite you to leave your fond memories and upload photos on his online memorial page. Let us remember him as he was - a man of strength, dedication, and immeasurable love. Love you, Daddy.
