Rolando Davila, fondly known by many as Rollie, was born on September 25, 1973, in Laredo, Texas, and departed this world on December 28, 2025. Rolando was an adventurous soul who, despite physical limitations, embodied resilience and served as an inspiration to all who knew him. Wheelchair-bound yet unstoppable, he embraced life head-on—cruising around East Arlington, making friends wherever he went, and leaving lasting impressions everywhere he rolled.
Rolando's humble spirit, infectious humor, and enduring love for life illuminated the Arlington community and beyond. A devoted son, a loving brother, uncle and a friend to all, he was the very definition of warmth and compassion. His faith in God was unwavering and reflected daily through his actions, his kindness, and his deep reverence for family.
As we remember Rolando, we are reminded of Matthew 5:16: "In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." Rolando's light shined brightly, touching countless lives, and his good deeds will continue to glorify God for generations to come.
Rolando is survived by his beloved mother, Esperanza Garza; his sister, Sorina Davila brother-in-law Adam Rivera; and many cherished nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Juan Davila; his brother, Juan Reynaldo Davila; his great-niece, Addilynn Hernandez; and his sister-in-law, Nina Lujan.
Though Rollie's absence will be deeply felt, his spirit will live on through the laughter, memories, and stories shared by all who were blessed to know him.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Luna Family Funeral Home, located at 1635 New York Avenue, Arlington, Texas, followed by a service at 6:00 p.m. at the same location.
As we gather to honor Rolando's life, let us hold fast to the love and joy he so freely shared. May we remember him not with sadness, but with the same bright and uplifting spirit he carried every day. We encourage friends and family to share memories and photos of Rolando on his memorial page. His story is not over—it lives on in every heart he touched, every smile he inspired, and every life he changed.
